Did you check the md5sum of the download to check if it was corrupt or not? if not, do so.

What happens when you try to boot with it?>
just comes up with the normal loader then asks if i want to use red hat or windows
Are you sure your BIOS is set to boot from CD before the hard drive?
like i said it has worked on other iso cd's so it should work for gentoo
rolyin, did you check the md5sum of the download?
no  but i have tried 2 different iso's but it didnt have any documentation to show what it should be tho
Find a download mirror with a md5sum file for your download and then compair it with the md5sum you get for your download.
