Im setting up Gentoo for the first time on my old computer and im having troubles mounting the boot partition..
when i do the command "Mount /dev/hda1/ /mnt/gentoo/boot"
I get a message that /dev/hda1/ doesn't exist.. even tho i See it clearly there on the partition list.
and mounting the ´/dev/hda3/ did work just fine..
so i kinda dont understant why they say it doesn't exist
Im done choosing file systems i just stuck with the ones they recomended in the manual.. couse it's my first gentoo installation.
It's /dev/hda1, if you type /dev/hda1/ Linux will interpret it as a folder. If you still get the same message using /dev/hda1, type 'fdisk -l' at the command line (as root). Then you will get the available partitions.
thanks alot..you saved my day :)
