printer compatibility

my grandmother is getting me a Dell 720 Color Inkjet Printer, i was just wondering if it is compatible for gentoo

According to here, it is not. Although, according to this, it appears as if you can use a Lexmark linux driver. I have tried this so I can't guarantee anything.
