Screen Resolution - X Problem?

Having finally bluffed my way through a Gentoo install (maybe that was the problem...) I have come across a slight difficulty.

emerged both kde and x without problems, and typing kdm at the command prompt at console starts kde no problem, however, once in KDE I only have two options for my screen resolution - 640 x 480 or bigger.

What do I need to edit/redo in order to regain access to 1024x768 et al?
I am using a nVidia Geforce 2 (64Mb) Graphics card.

Is it as simple a case as emerging a certain item again, or is it manual config?

Been looking at it for a while now and can't quite work it out.

When you did "xorgconfig" you should have been able to specify higher resolutions by default.

I would look at my /etc/X11/xorg.config file and see what your default screen size is. Also, before you access anything too high you may need to follow the gentoo document for setting up your nvidia card, you will notice a huge performance enhancement.
