skype

Hi all i wanted to use skype to communicate with my brother but i can't.My brother uses fedora and gnome and i am using xfce (gentoo of course :D ) but with nautilus as filemanager and some other gnome applications.NOw when i start skype i get

The exact thing that happens is that while i listen my brother he can't.Any idea?

which sound daemon you use? Arts or Enlightened?

Yeah, but many peaple set up esd or arts to startup anyway, I have a fluxbox over here working fine with esd... Add esd to the initscripts for defaults (rc-update :P), reboot/re-enter current runlevel and try again (requiring that you 're having esd installed)
