Sound in mplayers, but not in system

Hello,
I get sound in MPlayer, firefox(flash) and all other media-players I've tested, but I can't get sound in wine, or in KDE applications, like Kopete or Kirq... I don't get any error message when I test the sound in the control center. I've tried to change device to dsp, dsp0, adsp, audio etc. I can't think of anything more...
Anyone who knows what I should do? I need the sound...

for wine you can try changing the options by using winecfg

Are you using alsa or oss? Or the best option is alsa with oss emulation.
You should have:

/dev/sound/dsp + /dev/dsp

if you don't have one of these you can try creating a symbolic link

as root

I do believe that these changes are only temporary and upon a reboot will be removed though so it is best to make sure in your kernel you have alsa enabled with the oss emulation stuff.

No :( That didn't help. I can't even run my games in wine. Guess I'm going back to the monopoly...

When I activated ALSA in WINE, WINE couldn't start games, cause the sound-drivers had a problem...
