/dev/hdb6 /songbank vfat auto,user 0 2
none /proc/bus/usb usbsf defaults 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
I got this error, too. It turned out gentoo had not installed the appropriate fsck file. in my case is was fsck.xfs I retrieved the file from the sbin directory of another linux system (in my case knoppix) and copied it to my sbin directory. This eliminated the error.
I couldn't copy it directly to my filesystem from knoppix, because the files were mounted read only, but I was able to coppy it to my dos partition and then copy it to my gentoo system after booting into gentoo. You should be able to do the same with your databank partition.
I missed that you have red hat. you should be able to coppy the file from the sbin directory of your redhat system.
