Gimp + Wacom problem
I am using Ubuntu 10.10, Gimp 2.6.10, and a Wacom Bamboo tablet.
Everything works perfectly with the tablet except when I use a brush, the ones with the brush outlines, when I make a stroke, especially a long one, the brush outline \ and colors lag behind the brush very badly. I have a 3.3GHz Dual Core CPU and 2GBs of RAM. I had this same issue on Ubuntu 9.04 with The Gimp and this same tablet, but do not remember how it was fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is likely a 2-D graphics acceleration problem. What video chip set is your system using? What video driver are you using?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

Do you mean actually lagging, or just being offset? You can fix the lag by turning off the outline. It takes a little getting used to, but you don't need the outline to paint.
