    Proxy video editing

    Hi eveyone

Really need you advice about videos and editing.
I am doing some filming and camera makes 100 separate files each time. In the end I need all these videos together with one timecode.
My colleagues use Windows computers and programm "XD Cam Browser".
I really can not find any alternative!

As a second problem is that these HD videos are too huge for my computer to process, so I need and option called "Proxy editing".

    Would really appreciate any suggestions!

Lightworks is a professional grade video editor used by Hollywood and available for Linux. You can even use it for free (not sure what the limitations are). There are quite a few topics on using Lightworks for proxy editing if you search for them. Hopefully this will do the job. Lightworks is complex program but obviously very capable.
