Playing with GIMP
Recently, I've started messing with GIMP. I've never gotten into graphics before (either with Windows or Linux), but I figured I would just dabble in it for a bit. What does everyone think?

If you are migrating from MS-Windows, you may find GimpShop easier to use (assuming you can get it to install on your linux distribution). And even if you are not migrating from MS-Windows, you still may hate the Gimp interface.
If you can't find a workable rpm for your distribution, you may need to compile from source.
Here are some notes on the dependencies I covered, to obtain a successful install (and I have it running successfully on 4 linux pc's [all SuSE-9.3].

The Gimp author's took major exception to GimpShop software "fork", and they took the criticism of the design of the Gimp interface very personal, which is unfortunate ... its the nature of open source to make room for such software directions .... Anyway, 'nuff said on that.

Wow, sorry I was so late in responding to this, but I've just been busy with school and work. Anyway, yes, you may use the signature. Anyone can. I just made it to learn a little about GIMP. I've worked on some others too, which have turned out all right, I suppose. It's been fun. Hope everyone enjoys it.
