anyone successfully WINE'd CorelDRAW 12 or 11?
as much as Inkscape is a great program, it is missing half the functionality that CorelDRAW is favorable for me
Inkscape will be outstanding by the time it reaches 1.0 :D

No joy so far - received the following message:

Please use the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Sotware\Fonts\LogPixels to set the screen resolution and remove the "Resolution" entry in the config file
I'll look into it further tomorrow and let you know how I get on.
codeweavers doesn't list any coreldraws as tested so i'm guessing not.

I've just been giving Corel Draw 12 a go after updating to Breezey.
It runs the installer, then a theres a short gap & installer says:
"Installation wizard completed
The installation was interupted before CorelDRAW
Graphics Suite 12 could be completly installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete
installation at another time, please run setup
again.
Click 'Finish' to exit the wizard."
I've tried a few different settings using the winecfg but getting no joy.
Will keep trying, is there anyway of seeing an error report? Yes I'm new, only been using Linux for 3 months or so. Tried a few distros, at first stuck to vector but now love kubuntu. Full respect to all involved, great distro.

Ooops, forgot to mention that I'm trying to use Corel in wine. :D
That sucks!
Here's some promising news though: http://www.xara.com/products/xtreme/default.asp?t=
Xara Xtreme is porting to linux.
I read the info from your Xara link, GREAT NEWS.
From what I can see Xara is as powerfull as Corel Draw. I have never used Xara so I'm just going on what I read.
All that is keeping me with w**doze is Corel Draw & photoshop, although photoshop is more hobby based than work. If I can get Corel Working on Linux, or Xara is as good its all over.... Linux 100% :D
Xara is available for windows too, so maybe download it and try it out.
The linux version is available for download as well, but not fully functional yet. You probably already read that though.
A friend just gave me an old copy of CorelDRAW 9 for linux, still in the shrink wrap. Alas, Bash tells me that permission is denied whenever I try to run the install script on FC 5 with ample RAM and disk. Corel itself refuses to help, simply sending me to a "knowledge base" that doesn't admit linux exists, or to empty news groups. Any suggestions? If worst comes to worst, I'd even settle for getting the fonts and clip art installed, but I'd prefer the whole program.
