Editing the DMZ Cursor Theme

Does anyone know the program I need to open and edit the cursor images for the DMZ-White Cursor theme files. I use Debian Sid and I can't edit the images. They appear to not have file extensions which is making life hard trying to search for a how to. Even more useful would be knowing what file type they really are.

Way 1:

1. Use "xcur2png" to convert the X11 Cursors to *.png.
2. Use Gimp to edit the *.png.
3. Use "xcursorgen" to convert *.png back to X11 Cursors.

Way 2:

• Use Gimp and the "X11 Mouse Cursor (XMC) plug-in".

PS: You can get more infos about the file format by reading the manpage of "Xcursor".
