Buzzing/Annoying Sound coming from Left Speaker

Hello, um yeah I am a Linux Newbie, so please bear with me. I just installed Ubuntu 7.04, after trying SLAX Live CD that a friend let me borrow. The problem is, there is a buzzing sound coming from one of my speakers, it is similar to the sound of a TV on a channel that isn't provided. I have a Intel 915 chipset mainboard, and from what I can tell, the Intel ICH6 is in charge of my sound, so can anyone give me some help?

the modules loaded should be something relavant to ac97

also check ur kmix or sound settings........ advanced...... may be there might be some problem there....
