Hello, I have Ubuntu 7.04 installed on my Acer Aspire laptop. I have this problem of the sound skipping during playback ... so whenever I open another application or do something like drag a window, the sound skips like it would on a cd-player.

I remember seeing an option of "running sound server with highest priority" on some previous distro that I had installed (i don't remember if that solved the problem though) but can't seem to find a similar option on my ubuntu system.

help! ... anyone?
