TV Card settings disappear with reboot
My tv card settings keep disappearing.
Running Mandrake 10
WinTV-dbx tv card
To get this card working I went into Configure your computer>Hardware>TV Card
Used Auto Detection and all was fine. The tv settings it finds work. But when I reboot, it loses all the settings and I have to go through the configure process all over again.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Bill

TV Card settings disappear with reboot
I have the same problem. I'm running Mandrake 10 also, but with the Winfast TV2000XP. It works perfectly, except each time I reboot, I have to reconfigure it again.
Here's an except from my modules.conf relating to my tv card:
#bttv
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 bttv
options bttv radio=1 card=34 tuner=2 gbuffers=8
options tuner debug=1 type=2
I'm wondering if there are any other files I need to modify?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: TV Card settings disappear with reboot
Ok, I solved the problem, the module simply isn't loading on startup, the settings aren't being reset. To fix it simply add this line to your '/etc/rc.local' file (assuming you're using the bttv module):
/sbin/modprobe bttv
That will load the correct module on startup, so you don't have to run the hw wizard each time (you can also run that command at the shell, as root).
