Hi all,
I am returning to linux after quite sometime so almost forgot many commands and utilities.
I need to install a Logitech QuickCam (Webcam) in a machine running linux.
I actually need to install the Webcam bcoz I wud need it for developing another application. Now the prob is I dont have root access to the machine.
But I am told that even without root access I can install the Webcam in some home directory of mine and proceed.
Anyone has any idea of how that can be done. I mean can I recompile the source kernel and also compile the source of the driver of the camera and link them. (just thinking of the hat)
can anyone tell me something concrete with command examples.
