    keyboard problem

    Hello,

    I am running Mandrake 10.

My keyboard has suddenly decided to be uncooperative. I cannot get the plus character to appear. The key left off the backspace key has the equals a and plus signs. The key itself gives the equals sign, shift and the key gives the plus sign. The equals appears fine on screen. Shift and the key has no efect - nothing appears on screen; the plus sign has disappeared somehow. Any ideas?

Can you post what the following command returns?
    Code:
xmodmap -pk | grep -e equal -e plus
