Need help with installing Qlogic SCSI driver
OK - I'm a reletive newbie to this sort of thing. I'm trying to install a qlogic scsi card on red hat 4 ES. So far I have installed the kernel source and created a symlink to the build directory:
I've downloaded and compiled the driver which seemed to work fine, no errors encountered, but I'm unable to install the module. Im getting 'Invalid module format'.Code:up2date -i -f kernel-devel ln -s /usr/src/kernel/`uname -r` /lib/modules/`uname -r/build
My kernel source is the same version as my kernel - originally I thought that might have been the problem.Code:# insmod qla2xxx.ko ql2xextended_error_logging=1 insmod: error inserting 'qla2xxx.ko': -1 Invalid module format
Any help is appreciated :SRegistered Linux user #389109
