VIA VT6102 [Rhine-II] (rev 51) problem
Hello all,
I've recently installed Debian linux 4.0 r1 on a system that has a VIA VT6102 [Rhine-II] (rev 51) network adaptor built into it. After booting I keep getting errors that read like this:
NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
eth0: Transmit timed out, status 0003, PHY status 786d, resetting...
eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex, lpa 0x41E1
I've gotten it at least four times after booting my system up and letting it sit for about 15 minutes.
The via_rhine module is listed when lsmod is used. In the column titled "used by" however "0" is listed. Another module, mii, has via_rhine listed in the "used by" column.
I'm really hitting a wall here, lspci named the card as given in the title of this thread. From what I read about the via_rhine module, most people don't have trouble with it. I can't ping, so does anyone have a suggestion for me? I'd rather appreciate some help.
