    Cups DeskJet 845C

Working on a linux exersice, running ubuntu feisty. We're supposed to set up Cups, and connect through IPP from a client, using it as a generic postscript printer. The printer is a DeskJet 845C. This will work fine as long as I have the correct ppd in /etc/cups/ppd right? Anyways, it works when printing from windows xp, but when trying to print from a linux client it just spews out blank pages. Have I misunderstood something here , or is there something wrong with the ppd?

    Welcome to the forums!

Not sure in your particular situation, but for my own local printer, the ppd file always goes in:

    Code:
    /usr/share/cups/model
    oz
