I'm interested in utilizing the new notebook I plan on getting with an external eSATA drive to boot and run Linux.
Does Linux support eSATA?...

I don't know much about it, or the configurations for such devices, but yes, Linux and eSATA are reportedly compatible. Maybe someone that has experience with it will reply, or you can do some googling for esata and linux.

Well, there's not a whole lot of information out there on this, but from what little I gleaned, it looks like there is support for the most part, I guess it's just another bridge I'll have to cross when I get there.
If anyone has any experience with this, I'd be glad to hear about it.
