    What is the error?

    You can use the driver "nv" to use your card, but to get full acceleration, download the official nvidia driver at: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux.html

    Have you installed the nvidia drivers? Though you should have atleast vga.

    Note: the driver "nv" should already be installed. You can use that one until you get the "nvidia" driver installed.

    You download the driver from the link I posted. There is also a readme there that tells you exactly how to install, and includes a FAQ.

    Basically you do
    Code:
    $ sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6106-pkg1.run
    (that was the filename for me, change it if yours is different)
    --monkey

    This post is a dupe, but has replies on both threads. So I'm locking this one and follow-up can be found here.
