i just recently installed redhat linux 9.0 and i cant run x windows i have a nvidia geforce fx 5200 and a gateway ev 700 monitor can anyone please help...

What is the error?
You can use the driver "nv" to use your card, but to get full acceleration, download the official nvidia driver at: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux.html--monkey

Have you installed the nvidia drivers? Though you should have atleast vga.

Note: the driver "nv" should already be installed. You can use that one until you get the "nvidia" driver installed.
You download the driver from the link I posted. There is also a readme there that tells you exactly how to install, and includes a FAQ.
Basically you do(that was the filename for me, change it if yours is different)Code:$ sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6106-pkg1.run
