    Dell Trube Mobile 1300 WLAN Mini PCI Card doesn't work in Ubuntu 6.06.

    lspci lists it, lshw lists it as recognized, iwconfig finds it, so does ifconfig -a...but I can't get it up via #ifconfig eth1 up....what gives?

    These cards are Broadcom based cards. There is an open source driver but it requires proprietary firmware for the card. You can look into using bcm43xx-fwcutter to get and install the firmware or I believe that 7.10 (the latest release) does this automatically for you.
