ATI Radeon 9200 support in FC1??
Hi,
I have FC1 installed on my system I am looking to get ATI Radeon 9200 graphics card and have almost made up mind to do so.
What bothers me is that the ATI site doesnt list FC1 as a supported OS...it just mentions RH Enterprise Edition. I'd just like to know if there is anyone who runs the above mentioned card on their box succesfully.
Thanks

They have an RPM, and I would be inclined to say that it would work. I've never used Fedora and thus cannot tell you anything factual. I do, however, suggest looking at an nVidia alternative. They are much better than ATI about their Linux support.

Did you try the "radeon" driver that comes with X? It says it will give your card hw acceleration.

I am getting the ATI for much less than the Ge Force...so I think Ill risk that and probably go with the driver that comes with X as suggested by monkey8.
Thanks and Cheers,

if rhee supports it, you shouldn't have a problem finding an rpm for any drivers that you would need on redora core, the only real difference between the 2 distros is programs that come with them, and tech support.
