printer wont install.
I'm completely new to Linux. I am using Linspire 4.5 distro. I'm trying to install a Lexmark z12 printer. When I double click the printer Icon I'm taken to the Printer set up wizard. After filling out all the info, a test printer button appears. When I click that a pop up box appears and asks me for my cups password. What is cups and how do I get a password to it.

CUPS = common unix printing system. It's asking for the password for the root user. Or whatever root is called on Linspire.
