I've got asus a7v600 motherboard. It has 4 USB 2.0 ports (according to the manual), but when I look in the KControl, I get following info:

USB UHCI Root Hub (1):
...
- USB Version: 1.0
...
- Speed: 12 Mbit/s
...

//------------------------------------

USB UHCI Root Hub (2):
...
- USB Version: 1.0
...
- Speed: 12 Mbit/s
...

//------------------------------------

USB UHCI Root Hub (3):
...
- USB Version: 1.0
...
- Speed: 12 Mbit/s
...

//------------------------------------

USB UHCI Root Hub (4):
...
- USB Version: 1.0
...
- Speed: 12 Mbit/s
...

//------------------------------------

VIA Technologies, Inc. USB 2.0 (5):
- Manufacturer: Linux 2.4.22-10mdk ehci_hcd
- Serial #: 00:10.4
...
- USB Version: 2.0
...
- Speed: 480 Mbit/s
...

//------------------------------------

Now, what does that mean? Why doesn't linux recognize my usb ports as usb v.2? And what is the last entry for?

i'm using kernel 2.4.22-10mdk
