Question on naming convention of processor types
In the case where a number is mentioned in a multicore processor's type, should this number be divided by the amount of cores to get to the individual clock speed ? Example : a processor with type X6000 is a dual core processor; does this mean the clock speed of an individual core is 3GHz?
On another note: what is the naming convention for motherboards if any? It would be useful to mention both RAM capacity and clock speed, but it rarely is.
Thanks in advance
