    Wink KVM hot key code

    Hi,

New to linux with Ubuntu 8.04.
Bought a Server link 2 port USB KVM to use with my windows machine. I can use a fast key code on the windows side to switch machines, but nothing works on linux side. Have to hit the button on the switch to change back to windows.

Is there any way to set up a fast key in linux?

    Thanks

It depends on the functionality inbred in the KVM switch, which I believe makes use of the low level signaling in the hardware and is not operating system related. I have a KVM switch which uses the Scroll-lock - Scroll-lock - Arrow up key combination in all manner of OS-es.

The manual that came with the switch should provide some more information too or the help line of the manufacturer.

    Hope this helps
