Microsoft Natural Ergonomic keyboard 4000 special buttons dont work!!

    Hi,

I have the microsoft natural ergonomic 4000 keyboard. It connects via USB. It came along with a driver CD for windows. But it is not supported in linux.

some of the special buttons work, while many others do not. I have already tried keytouch but it could not work and lineakd , i could not figure it out.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to work it out.

    I am on Fedora9
    linux kernel 2.6.25.4

    Welcome to the forums!

Check this wiki page for some tips/steps on getting it to work:

HOWTO Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - Gentoo Linux Wiki

It's geared toward Gentoo, but should work generally the same under other distributions.
