    HDD to config in Linux enviroment

    I have this USB 2 external HDD. When plug in the Linux base mini notebook, it says 'Failed to mount "F Volume". Unknown file system 'ntfs'. I know the HDD was previously configured via windows enviroment. What must I do to this HDD to config. it to the Linux enviroment?

    I am having a similar problem when i try to install Linux - it cannot find any hard drive at all, and i had the same error message as you mention.

    Did you manage to solve this problem? What did you do?
