Hi all, this isn't so much oriented about Linux as much as it is about the AM2/AM2+ chipsets themselves. I've been reading mixed things; that I can place an AM2+ chip into an AM2 socket and have it run with only HT3.0 disabled, but I've also heard that I would need to flash my bios to do this.

I'm wondering if anyone can properly clear that up for me.
