Intel DG31PR- IMPROPER BIOS DISPLAY
Hey there.
Guys, I've just switched to an Intel DG31PR motherboard
with a Dual Core E2200 2.2 GHz on it.
The problem is that the BIOS display looks really wierd-
Like 'There's something wrong' kind of display.
The tabs (i.e. boot, advanced, etc. ) appear only after I press the arrow keys (and one at a time).
What I mean is, I can navigate through the options, but there sure seems to be some problem.
Everything else is absolutely fine.
Please HELP.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like either a BIOS issue, or possibly some kind of hardware issue.
Have you tried upgrading the BIOS (if there is an upgrade available) to see if that helps?oz

Thanks for responding Ozar.
Actually, when I tested it at the place I bought it from,
the display was fine.
It was only when I got it home that the problem appeared.
By the way, how do I upgrade the BIOS ?

Defective merchandise, maybe... or if no hardware or other changes made, then maybe a power issue of some type? Just guessing, of course.
Check the motherboard manual for the specifics on flashing BIOS if you should go that route.
Maybe someone else will post with other ideas about what's going on.oz

BIOS Menus Do Not Display Properly
BIOS Menus Do Not Display Properly
Certain older CRT monitors may not properly display BIOS menu items (black bars will display). However, when using arrow keys to navigate within the BIOS menus, the BIOS menu and selections will be highlighted. To resolve this, we suggest that you try a different CRT monitor or use an LCD monitor.
