    hwinfo problem

    Hi,

When i run hwinfo --cdrom | grep Features command , the output is fluctuating with different outputs.

May i know how to make this output consistent.

    example:

    #hwinfo --cdrom | grep Features
    #Features : DVD

again if u run the same command

    #hwinfo --cdrom | grep Features
    #Features : CD-R

actuaally drive supports CD+-RW and DVD+-RW.

    any help welcome.......

    Regards,
    Rajath

I don't know how to set it right.

But you can look at lshw, How To Get Hardware Specs of Your System Using lshw Hardware Lister, an article about it @ geek stuff.

and the lshw web .. HardwareLiSter - ezIX ..

    Hope the above helps ?
