I downloaded the actual driver from RaLink, their instructions were completely impossible to understand, but I tried make and make install and they showed no errors. Then I restarted the computer and there are no wireless networks listed. I wonder where did that installed driver go?

I downloaded a rt2860 driver RPM, but it gives this error message:
I also tried this:Code:kernel-uname-r = 2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64 is needed by package kmod-rt2860-2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64-2.1.2.0-1.fc11.8.x86_64 (rpmfusion-free-updates)
I see both of these messages keep saying "2.6.29.6-217".Code:# yum install rt2860 Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit Setting up Install Process Resolving Dependencies --> Running transaction check ---> Package rt2860.noarch 0:2.1.2.0-2.fc11 set to be updated --> Processing Dependency: rt2860-kmod >= 2.1.2.0 for package: rt2860-2.1.2.0-2.fc11.noarch --> Running transaction check ---> Package kmod-rt2860.x86_64 0:2.1.2.0-1.fc11.8 set to be updated --> Processing Dependency: kmod-rt2860-2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64 >= 2.1.2.0-1.fc11.8 for package: kmod-rt2860-2.1.2.0-1.fc11.8.x86_64 --> Running transaction check ---> Package kmod-rt2860-2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64.x86_64 0:2.1.2.0-1.fc11.8 set to be updated --> Processing Dependency: kernel-uname-r = 2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64 for package: kmod-rt2860-2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64-2.1.2.0-1.fc11.8.x86_64 --> Finished Dependency Resolution kmod-rt2860-2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64-2.1.2.0-1.fc11.8.x86_64 from rpmfusion-free-updates has depsolving problems --> Missing Dependency: kernel-uname-r = 2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64 is needed by package kmod-rt2860-2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64-2.1.2.0-1.fc11.8.x86_64 (rpmfusion-free-updates) Error: Missing Dependency: kernel-uname-r = 2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64 is needed by package kmod-rt2860-2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11.x86_64-2.1.2.0-1.fc11.8.x86_64 (rpmfusion-free-updates) You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem You could try running: package-cleanup --problems package-cleanup --dupes rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
If that is supposed to mean the version of the linux kernel, then that's the problem because my kernel is 2.6.29.4-167.
The problem is that in my previous post, when automatic update installed a newer kernel, the computer wouldn't start and I had to edit the GRUB list to use the old one.
