My DVD writer suddenly stopped working couple of days. (before i could buy a new one)
is it possible to fix this issue?
These are my messages :
Any idea what went wrong?#hdparam -d1 /dev/cdrom

HDIO_GET_DMA failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
#hdparam /dev/cdrom
IO_support = 0 (Default)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 256 (on)

It would appear that a system call for the i/o to the kernel has failed. Other than that I don't know enough to tell you how to fix it.
