I'm rather new to LVM, and after reading and trying some experiments I have a few questions that no one seems to be able to answer.

I understand about partitions, volume groups, and logical volumes, but:
What are the pros and cons of having one volume group vs 2 volume groups? Why would one opt for 2 volume groups?
