I know my video card can play videos in linux, since geexbox works just fine. But, i have a habit of playing movies/videos while i'm at my computer. So being in geexbox isn't a good alternative.

I'm wondering if any of you have an ati all-in-wonder 8500dv card, and can play movies. if you can, how. if you can't explain it, a link to some guide somewhere would help me.

i just heard that ati released a new driver, so i'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with it.
