HP Pavilion dv6 AMD64 black screen
So I was playing a bit of Battle for Wesnoth last night using the laptop battery (not plugged in), and I was starting to pass out, so I closed the lid of my pavilion, put it away, and went to sleep. When I awoke I went to turn it on, the keyboard lit up, with the speaker and wireless icons both red, and the caps and num lock lights were blinking. They were blinking a 2 blink code, which I read somewhere may be a bios issue? I tried rebooting numerous times with the same result.
I stumbled on a youtube fix here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVUL_JsaZCw
which completely fixed the problem. For now. Just wondering if there's a bigger issue here, or if this fix is going to make the issue go away. Do I actually have a bios problem? Anyone else encounter this before?
Thanks volks! As wide as were the waters,
So wide was wove the net.
