i also have Broadcom netxtreme gigabit ethernet and working with available driver from rhel 3 up 9 cd.

Read the wireless setup sticky and post the requested output.
RHEL3 and the 2.4 kernel series are very old and will probably lack support for many wireless cards. If possible, I would upgrade to a more modern distribution.
