[SOLVED] Where to find HDMI driver
Mobo - Asus M4A78-E
ATI Radeon HD3300
Sumsung 2494HM 24" LCD display
Fedora 12 Linux
AMD Phenom II X4 955
HDMI input
Where can I find a driver for HDMI?
The display works without much problem except half of the top and bottom bars as well as both left and right screen edge can't be seen. Adjusting high pixel size value on both top and bottom bars can partially solve the problem.
TIA

there is no HDMI driver, that is just an interface used by the video adapter
You haven't said what is your graphics card if any
It seems you might be a victim of overscan, this could possibly be due to using HDMI, perhaps it treats it more like a television when using HDMI

Hi coopstah13,
Thanks for your advice.
I solved the problem as follow;
After evoking the software built-in on the LCD display select "Setup" and scroll down to "AV mode". Change it to "Off".
Restart X. Now the problem disappears.
I have another problem, no sound on speakers, which is found after running "yum update". I'll post another thread.
