Here's something I'dnt get...
Have a memory stick and while am writing stuff using any common distro, it snaps and claims I "don't have permission to write into the device" ...

Read/Write ERRORS?!
Here's something I'dnt get...
Have a memory stick and while am writing stuff using any common distro, it snaps and claims I "don't have permission to write into the device" but the device remains mounted.
After forceful unplug and replug, it behaves the same way(nb:/space and file system integrity are not issues!).
I'ld like to know why this happens...

Does this happen too if you write something as root?
