[SOLVED] Any luck with USB bluetooth adapters?
I've learned to not just purchase a USB device assuming it will work. So, I have to ask...
Has anyone had any luck out of the box with USB dongles for bluetooth?
I use Ubuntu and its variants. I just don't want to spend $20 to find out that something won't work.
Thanks,
Greg

Ubuntu is pretty good with USB bluetooth dongles, but not all will work out-of-the-box. I've had good results with a Belkin F8T017.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

I bought a cheap 'no make' Bluetooth dongle and it worked out of the box on Ubuntu and openSUSE.

Usually will work. I got the Belkin (more pricey) because it is an extended range transceiver.
