    I have an older AMD Athlon K which I'd like to revive into a linux machine .
    At boot I get an error which more of less stipulatesI should 'use a distro with a kernal familiar with this CPU'.


    Anyone know of a distrol which with tolerate this chip?

    Just curious about what version of what distro you downloaded and tried to install. Did you pick the amd_64 version or the i386 version? Also what distro?
