I just wanted to interface my linux system(centos,ubuntu) to the cd player thats fitted in cars so as to make use of the screen and cd player for other things.
I dont have any info if it has been done yet
.
searched google but didnt find anythin of relevance.
any one has any ideas or leads on the issue..?

What you can do with it sort of depends upon the system you have in your car. Mine has a USB port so I can play mp3's that I put on a thumb drive, but I don't think it has any more accessibility than that. So, describe your car stereo system (make, model, ports if any, etc) and then we can see what we can come up with, aside from breaking into the unit and doing some major reconstructive surgery on it...
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
