    sound card detection problems

    im a newbie and i reinstall fedora core 2 because i have some problems. The first time that i install it the soundcard work just fine but now that i reinstall it it wont work. i try the sound card detection program but is just give me a error message.Can anybody help me?

    I have the SB LIVE! 1024 DIGITAL SOUND CARD

    I had a similar problem with a SB Live card in FC 2 as well. The only fix I came up for it was to remove all of the alsa rpm's from my system and manually build alsa from the sources. I have updated to FC 3 and have not thus far had to do that, so maybe upgrading to FC 3 is another option for you.
