Setting up an usb port with the right hid class
Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the right subforum cause it's not really about hardware but here it goes anyways
I'm working on a linux based device which has an usb port. I'd like to output data related to mouse movement / keyboard input.
I've read that you can have the second computer interpet the device as an HID, but how do i make this known? can i just write data in the correct interface to the port and it'll work? and if so where do i write it to? just /dev/<usbport ?
I hope someone can clarify this for me, thanks!
Richard
Ps. it'll be on a 2.6.27+ kernel
