Can you explain what you mean? If you bought an OEM license of Windows XP Home or Pro, especially bundled with a new PC, you are barely paying anything for the software.This is true because if you use your computer enough you will reallise that Microstoft is ripping you off.
I think its the opposite. Why would I buy more video cards for a platform that has a fraction of the games that Windows does?Therefore I predict that a Linux user will buy, on average, at least 3 times as many graphics cards as windows users
I agree with you, but for a much simpler reason: They've committed to releasing linux drivers, they should damn well do it right, or not at all.ATI therfore should give us these needed drivers to satisfy a huge potential market.

(since I think we'll end up way off topic the ATI Petition on this one
)

ah ****, just got black ink all over my screenHere's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?
