I have this webcam model, which works with the SN9C102 driver included in the kernel 2.6.9 version. I've compiled this kernel hoping my webcam would work now, but still no luck. At least xawtv -hwscan includes the following lines:

/dev/video0: OK [ -device /dev/video0 ]
type : v4l2
name : SN9C10[12] PC Camera
flags: capture

whereas with my previous kernel 2.6.7 this wasn't there at all. However, xawtv -c /dev/video0 gives:

This is xawtv-3.94, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.9)
/dev/video0 [v4l2]: no overlay support
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway

I've asked for help in the video4linux list from redhat, but nobody replies. Can somebody here help please?
