vt6400 card won't recognize hard drive in Linux.
I have the vt6400 via card as well. I have it in a old P4 gateway computer acting as a server. I had Window 2000 Advanced server installed and software RAID working fine. I then installed Ubuntu and then Suse 11 and it will not recognize the hard drives.
The manufacture says its not supported in LInux. Was anyone able to find another solution or is that it? =(

If you can set up the card as a non-raid JBOD device, then you should be able to use the software raid capabilities of Linux to use it as a RAID device.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
