Accessing a Raid Array
My School had been relying on a Linux server whose motherboard recently failed. We need to recover files off of a SCSI raid array the server used. I have set up a new server that accesses the SCSI Disks. I am booting into Knoppix to try and recover the data. I have set up the drives so that Knoppix detects them as three independent SCSI Drives, but cannot mount them since they are a Software Raid (Either of Type 1 or 5 I am not sure). What do I have to do to mount this Raid array? Thanks.

you need to create a software raid array in order to see their contents.
try this:
